Schools from across the UK are being given the opportunity to be a part of the world’s largest science lesson at the Alton Towers Resort on Friday 28th March.

As part of National Science Week (which runs from 24th-28th March 2014), Alton Towers will attempt to break the world record for the largest science lesson in the world. Schools are being invited to take a trip to the theme park to take part in two exciting experiments. These experiments will measure students’ heart rates as they listen to different sounds, and meet some of the famous Theme Park characters. If successful, any school that participates will receive a certificate and a photograph of the event.

In addition to this exciting record attempt, the park is also running a number of additional shows, each of which explore some of the science behind the park’s famous rides. Students can learn more about forces, and the effect a 30 metre drop, gravity, and speeds of 85 kilometres an hour can have on your body.

Any schools interested should contact the resort’s schools booking line.

We at TowersTimes will be keeping a close eye on this record attempt and will keep you up to date with all the latest.
