Alton Towers Theme Park will host two additional Scarefest attractions when the event is unleashed to the general public from Saturday, 15th to Monday, 31st October 2011.

Th13teen: After Dark has been added to the range of spooktacular halloween attractions which follows on from the limited success of Th13teen: Live back in 2010. TowersTimes believes that this years Th13teen: After Dark will be different to what was offered last season, but we hope to see the return of the Dark Forest Wraiths together with lighting and smoke effects, which were well received last time out. Th13teen: After Dark runs from 5 – 9pm.

The park have also announced the surprise addition of a Birds of Prey show, which will be held daily on the Towers lawns. Given the child-friendly name ‘Phil’s Feathered Friends’, the show will feature owls, eagles and be hosted daily at 2pm.

The addition of these two events, will make the 2011 Scarefest one of the biggest yet and TowersTimes welcomes the wide range of attractions on offer this year.

Meanwhile, the resort have given a sneak peak at the theme behind the Zombies! Scare Zone, which is also new-for-2011. Themed around a United Kingdom which has succumbed to nuclear war, mutated zombies will seek out new flesh… The Scare Zone will be open from 5 – 9pm.

We look forward to the start of the event in just over two weeks!
