2022 saw the Resort expand their line-up of events once again, with the addition of Festival of Thrills during the early part of the season. With the return of the various other seasonal events, this meant there was a different event to experience in almost every month of the season!

With the princesses banished, it was a complete pirate takeover during February Half Term across the Resort hotels and Mutiny Bay.

This new event saw the Resort celebrate its big 7 coasters, with each having its own live music playing out from stages in the nearby area.

2022 saw the debut of a new audio-based scare attraction, alongside returning scare mazes and family-friendly entertainment.

The three-night fireworks spectacular returned to close out the season with a display that celebrated the theme park’s rides.

Run Alton Towers

12th-13th November – The theme park was once again host to a 5k, 10k and half marathon over the course of the weekend following the end of the theme park season, with rides and attractions available for runners and spectators to enjoy.
