For this week’s #ThrowbackThursday we go back to 1981 and @altontowers’ own family run funeral parlor, Doom & Sons.

Located in Talbot Street (next to what is now The Alton Towers Dungeon), Doom & Sons was a walk-through, ghost house which utilised technology similar to that of traditional fun houses which were found in amusement parks across the world during that era. 

Doom & Sons closed its doors for the final time at the end of the 1992 season.
