The ride entrance is located just as you enter CBeebies Land. Whilst waiting in the queue, there are a range of activities to keep little ones occupied as they wait for their adventure to begin. As guests make their way through the queue, they climb a set of stairs up into the CBeebies house. Here guests are directed to their awaiting vehicle.
Your journey through the tree tops begins and riders leave the station behind, passing over the land below. As the vehicle travels along the track you enter the CBeebies house being encouraged to make lots of noise to wake everyone up. Continuing on your journey, the on ride audio highlights the attractions of CBeebies Land as you pass overhead allowing views of the entire area.
Continuing along the track you pass through a set of trees above the entrance where you meet more CBeebies blobs who this time are enjoying a spot of painting. Further along, you pass through another set of trees, this time above the exit to the land, where your vehicle is recharged by the friendly blobs awaiting you.
After passing over a series of gentle dips and climbs, the fantastic tree top journey draws to a close as the vehicle returns to the station. You encounter a final couple of blobs who are tired out from the excitement of the journey, before finally coming to a stop. Make sure to mind your head as you disembark!
Get Set Go Tree Top Adventure is a re-theme of the popular Squirrel Nutty ride. First opening in 1996, Squirrel Nutty brought new life to the area between Old MacDonald’s farmyard and Adventure Land. This new area was named Storybook Land, and saw the installation of bizarre shaped trees to accommodate the track of the ride, and an all new centrepiece in the form of the Bookworm.
Upon opening each ride vehicle, which was in the shape of an acorn, contained a set of pedals. These pedals presented riders the opportunity to increase the speed of their acorn. As the years went by, the pedals were removed and the ride carried guests around at a leisurely pace on their unique adventure. The ride experience remained the same up until the closure of the ride at the end of the 2013 season, upon which it was rethemed as part of the area’s transformation into CBeebies Land for the 2014 season.
In December 2024, Alton Towers announced that they had submitted a planning application for the addition of a new junior coaster to CBeebies Land, due to open in 2026. It wasn’t until the planning documents themselves emerged in January 2025 that it was confirmed that this new coaster would replace Postman Pat Parcel Post, with the ride closing in June 2025. Although the planning documents did not make reference to Get Set Go Treetop Adventure, given that the existing track layout passed through the site of the proposed new coaster, it did not come as a surprise that the ride would also temporarily in Summer 2025 in order for its track to be rerouted. Unfortunately this did result in a shortening of the layout and the new route bypassing the tunnel which functioned as the Bugbies’ House.
