Welcome to sw5live.com    part of towerstimes.co.uk

1st May 2001
This is the point at which SW5 will cross under the Monorail and over Nemesis, The Nemesis train can be seen going around the final turn. Still in place is the sign advertising the 'new generation flying coaster'
Ripsaw Relics is currently the exit of the Ripsaw, once it was a Ripsaw shop but now is a Arcades unit, there is talk that the exit to SW5 maybe near to this building. Notice how close the fence surrounding the construction site is to the arcades, In 2000 this fence was further down behind the Beastly Bites food unit. Here is a picture of where SW5 will first cross the Monorail, a clearing in the trees can be seen behind Nemesis.
6th May 2001
A picture taken from the Monorail, looking over the construction site. In the centre of the picture the gap is where the first drop is said to slope A picture from the Monorail looking down into the first tunnel. Apparently track will start to arrive on the site in August, after the track is placed, the tunnel can be covered over.
15th May 2001
Same view as above, this time an army tank used in last years Forbidden Valley theming can be seen. Another picture from the Monorail looking down into the first tunnel. Progress is being made on walls which are to be poured soon.
21st May 2001
Still the walls have not been poured, the reason for this is that extra scaffolding will build up two levels to the tunnel so it can be poured with concrete in two separate halves. The second tunnel is making progress and starting to turn a corner.

Small trenches have been dug near to where the station will go, they now house some of the wires and cables which will keep this machine in operation. More footers have been poured near to the top of the lift hill on the other side of Nemesis.

31st May 2001
Because construction has not moved greatly during May we bring you our first set of Forbidden Valley area theming pictures, maybe next year not everything in the Valley will be kept the same??
Above: The Nemesis Monster
The 'Nemesis Nosh' bus sells allsorts of lunchtime snacks, its been in the Valley for many years, even back in the days of Thunder Valley, it is now themed to fit in with Nemesis. It is unknown if the bus will be here with SW5.
Looking down, through the Valley from the McDonalds take-away. Blade and Ripsaw can be seen in the distance. This view will more than likely be different next year. Another excellent piece of Forbidden Valley theming, the structure found at the top of the Valley is surrounded by a large rusty fence and looks straight down onto the SW5 area.
