	Alton Towers are back in court over yet more complaints about noise coming from the Theme Park. The Resort had a noise abatement order placed upon them back in October 2005, but local residents Stephen and Suzanne Roper are taking further legal action against the park. August 18th 2008 : Fatality in Major Coach Crash near Alton
	There have been over 40 casualties as a coach overturns and falls off a bridge near the River Churnet. The road is the main route used to get to and from Alton Towers from the South and East. The coach suffered horrific damage as it ploughed down into a neighbouring garden in bad weather. This accident follows a decade of calls for a new Eastern access road to be built provide a safer and quicker route to the park away from nearby villages.		MORE >>>

This area will include a "fantabulous" new indoor playground, and the Resort in general will become home to new shows and new "street characters". 	The Skyride will receive a "face lift" for 2009. TowersTimes believes that this will involve new gondolas of a slightly smaller size than that of the current stock. 	A newly refurbished monorail train took to the tracks at the Alton Towers Resort Saturday. The train takes a Splash Landings theme in line with the new golden resort branding. The design features wooden panels, pipes and lots of water as is to be found at the hotel. The other trains on the circuit will be given new themes over the course of the next two years. March 30th 2008 : Nuns are back in vogue at Alton Towers [updated]
	After previously holding nun-themed Sound of Music events, the park has brought in Musical Ruth, a singing nun onboard a moving grand piano, to delight guests on Towers Street. March 20th 2008 : 2008 Season Kicks off!

February 14th 2008 : Nemesis Causes Hullabaloo
	After some techincal issues with the ride, Nemesis has closed briefly, however Oblivion has opened as a replacement. UPDATE: Nemesis has now reopened and due to the popularity of the event during the half term week, Hex will be opening this weekend to satisfy demand. UPDATE 2: After closing again following Nemesis' reinstatement into the Hullabaloo lineup, Oblivion will be opening as an additional ride this weekend (23/24 Feb).		MORE >>>
