DECEMBER 1ST 2005 : THE STORY OF ALTON TOWERS DVD
It's finally here! The first DVD to tell the story of Alton Towers and is released on December 5th, just in time for that perfect Christmas present!
NOVEMBER 8TH 2005 : OBLIVION TO HAVE NEW LIFT CHAIN
After 10 years of hard work, Oblivion shall be having its lift hill chain replaced.
It will be having its new chain installed during the closed season and just like Rita’s drum replacement it shall be a lengthy process.
NOVEMBER 7TH 2005 : THE CLOSED SEASON BEGINS.
Now Adrenaline Week has drawn to a close the park has truly entered its closed season, but that doesn't mean the park won't still be a hive of activity...
NOVEMBER 5TH 2005 : NEMESIS REOPENS
After a week of downtime Nemesis reopened today having had its Programmable Logic Controller replaced. It will therefore be available for the last day of Adrenaline week as well as the November Winter Weekends.
OCTOBER 31ST 2005 : NEMESIS CLOSED FOR ADRENALINE WEEK!
After a technical problem forced the ride to close midway through Sunday, Nemesis has been removed from the list of rides available for Adrenaline Week at the Towers...
OCTOBER 30TH 2005 : 2005 SEASON COMES TO AN END.
The 2005 season at Alton Towers came to a show-stopping end this weekend, with three nights of Fireworks Spectaculars.
But fear not for those who can't cope for 5 months without the Towers....

Alton Towers were successful in securing 3 nights of Fireworks this season, despite continued legal battles from a local couple who said that the event disrupted their peace.

SEPTEMBER 20TH 2005 : HALLOWEEN, FIREWORKS AND THE END OF THE SEASON
Alton Towers are now pressing ahead with three nights of Fireworks, but have decided to cancel the Halloween celebrations. Meanwhile it has been announced that the season has been extended by one week!
SEPTEMBER 5TH 2005 : PLAYSTATION WEEKENDER
Over the first weekend in September Alton Towers was taken over by
those happy people at Playstation 2. A series of free events were
laid on for guests including inflatable, sumo wrestling, a zip wire,
live music and even a Human Jukebox. (It's probably best not to
ask)...
SEPTMEBER 1ST 2005 : WILLY WONKA'S MOVING IN
Next season will see Toyland Tours transformed into Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory, where guests will be given a tour around Mr
Wonka's factory, before taking off for a ride in a glass elevator.
The new ride will will see an extensive extension to the current
Toyland Tours building although most of the ride system of the old
ride will remain...
AUGUST 2005 : SCOOBY DOO COMES TO THE TOWERS
Scooby Doo has come to the Towers in search of his friends, who have
been kidnapped by monsters. Zoinks! Guests are invited to help
Scooby look for Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy, before joining the
gang on Towers Street at the end of the day!

After a couple of weeks of playing pop music in towers street, the park seems to have readopted the original
'magic' music it has playing on towers street that makes Alton so special for most people when you first walk in..
JUNE 8TH 2005 : HENRY IS BACK
Popular mascot Henry Hound has returned to the Towers after a few years away! Many older
Alton fans will be pleased to welcome him back, while younger fans will no doubt be just as eager to see our favourite pooch in the park!
JUNE 2ND 2005 : TOYLAND TOURS IS CLOSING
TowersTimes has received confirmation that Toyland Tours will close on Sunday 5th June 2005 in preparation for an exciting new development which will open in 2006. The attraction will be most suitable for younger guests, but as yet we cannot confirm the theme of the attraction.
