The Motor
Museum opened in Talbot Street in 1987, on the site formerly
occupied by the giant Snakes and Ladders board used for the TV
series Hold Tight.
It displayed
many vintage cars, including some by the Talbot Company, which was
owned by one of the Earl's of Shrewsbury. There were also other
vintage vehicles on display such as Fire Engines as well as more
modern vehicles.
The Motor
Museum closed at the end of 1992 and was replaced by the indoor
playground, Children's World. (now the Cred Street Playground)
