Once the longest Log Flume in the world, this ride was basically an aquatic rollercoaster and was based on Canadian water chutes that are used to transport logs from forest to
riverside. There was nearly 1 kilometre of waterway winding through
woodlands with three drops during the ride: the first was a large lift hill, but a small drop, to gain some height. The second drop was in total darkness and the final drop was the real drencher.
In its early
days the theming on the ride was restricted to only the logs, but
during the 80s dinosaurs were added around the track. In the early
90s the previous white metal station was clad in wood and in 1996
the dinosaurs were removed again.
By 2003 the Log Flume was in much need of a makeover, 2004 saw the log flume re-themed around
bath time for a more fun themed experience.
