Henrietta Hound first appeared alongside her lifelong friend Henry Hound in a series of Ladybird Books in 1988. She made her first public appearance at the Towers for the 1988 Winter Ice Show

Originally the queen of the high wire with a travelling circus, Henrietta first met Henry when the circus came to Alton Towers.

After this she became a regular feature at Alton Towers for several years, appearing in a variety of shows, such as Henry's Music Mania. She also appeared in the parades as well as in the Wonderful Times.

Henrietta retired from Alton Towers at the end of 1992, the season before Henry joined her in retirement.
