Easter 2006 saw a new event for the calendar, themed totally around chocolate!
During the summer, children's television channel, Cartoon Network, teamed up with Alton Towers for this new kids' event.
In July 2006 Alton Towers saw an additional feature to the landscape in the form of a beach, as the seaside came to the park
Gay profile website, Gaydar semi-hired out the park on 30th September, which saw the park open late into the night, closing at 10pm, its latest ever!
Despite recent court battles, this year's fireworks spectacular will still go ahead on three days at the end of October. This year the event will be based around a thunder storm.
