This year, winter
at the Alton Towers resort comes in a variety of easy packages to
suit anyone’s needs. Read on for details.
Why not take a
winter break at Alton Towers, where you can stay in either the
Caribbean themed Splash Landings Hotel – always a favourite in the
middle of the British winter, or for a cosier atmosphere stay the
night at the traditional Alton Towers Hotel. While you stay, for an
additional charge why not enjoy a taste of the tropics with a visit
to the Cariba Creek water park or tee off at Extraordinary Golf. Or for a slightly more sedate break you can
relax in the resorts award-winning Spa.
The cheapest winter breaks are available outside the festive period
and start from £42.50pppn. (Based on 4 people sharing on a
bed and breakfast basis)
There are three spa
packages available between Sunday and Thursday every week this
winter. You can choose between the sumptuous Luxury Spa Break or the
slightly more modest Pampering Spa Break. Here's a break down of
what each package includes:

If you fancy
having a sleepover with the man himself, you can stay in either the
Caribbean themed Splash Landings Hotel or for a cosier atmosphere
stay the night at the traditional Alton Towers Hotel, both of which
include dinner and breakfast.
Indoor Fun:
For those who just want a cosy indoor break there's a wide selection
of attractions to keep them occupied. Take a a splash in the Cariba
Creek water park, enjoy the resort's special festive puppet show or indulge in some evening entertainment
.
Outdoor
Pursuits: For hardier souls, you can wrap up warm and head
outdoors, where a veritable winter wonderland will be waiting.
As well as a round on the Extraordinary Golf course, in the theme
park Old MacDonald's Farmyard and Mutiny Bay along with the majority
of their attractions will be open for guests to enjoy. And while you
are down on the farm, why not take a trip to visit Santa in magical
grotto. He has set up a magical hideway in a secluded corner of the
park and has brought his reindeer along to meet and greet with lucky
hotel guests.

Each Sunday in
the run-up to Christmas day you can spend the entire day on resort
to join in with the festive fun and have Sunday lunch with all the
trimmings! You can even take part in all of the attractions for
Santa's Sleepovers (except the sleeping over of course).

If you are
looking for a treat for the whole family after the big day, you can
take a visit tothe Caribbean themed Splash Landings Hotel or spend a night

family puppet show. Alternatively why not take a trip over to the

Ring in 2010 with
a stay at either of Alton Towers' hotels, including a New Year's Eve
dinner and brunch the following morning. During your stay kick back
and splash out for the day in the water park, tee off at the

Bay and Old MacDonald's Farmyard will be available to hotel guests.
And after your fun packed day, head back to the hotels in the
evening to Celebrate as a family with a selection of entertainment:
