This year, winter
at the Alton Towers resort comes in a variety of easy packages to
suit anyone’s needs. Read on for details.
Why not take a
winter break at Alton Towers, where you can stay in either the
Caribbean themed Splash Landings Hotel – always a favourite in the
middle of the British winter, or for a cosier atmosphere stay the
night at the traditional Alton Towers Hotel. Here you can visit the
Cariba Creek water park, tee off at Extraordinary Golf and dance in
the children’s disco. Or for a slightly more sedate break you can
take a woodland stroll or relax in the resorts award-winning Spa.
The cheapest winter breaks are available outside the festive period
and start from £39.50pppn. (Based on 4 people sharing on a
bed and breakfast basis)
There are two spa
packages available between Sunday and Thursday every week this
winter. You can choose between the sumptuous Luxury Spa Break or the
slightly more modest Pampering Spa Break. Here's a break down of
what each package includes:

If you fancy
having a sleepover with the man himself, you can stay in either the
Caribbean themed Splash Landings Hotel or for a cosier atmosphere
stay the night at the traditional Alton Towers Hotel, both of which
include dinner and breakfast.
Indoor Fun:
For those who just want a cosy indoor break there's a wide selection
of attractions to keep them occupied. Take a a splash in the Cariba
Creek water park, help Santa's little helpers prepare for the big
day or indulge in some evening entertainment complete with party
games galore.
Outdoor
Pursuits: For hardier souls, you can wrap up warm and head
outdoors, where a veritable winter wonderland will be waiting.
As well as a round on the Extraordinary Golf course, the Elves'
Playground will be open for guests to enjoy a selection of
children's rides, including several of the rides from Cred Street
and the dodgems. For more traditional fun there will also be carol
singing, a hog roast and mulled wine to keep the spirits up. And of
course guests can visit Santa in his magical woodland grotto or meet
his reindeer in the Alton Towers Hotel's garden.
In the Park:
During the sleepovers, the park's woodland walk will be open for
guests to have a stroll and tours will be available round the ruins
of Alton Towers.

Each Sunday in
the run-up to Christmas day you can spend the entire day on resort
to join in with the festive fun and have Sunday lunch with all the
trimmings! You can even take part in all of the attractions for
Santa's Sleepovers (except the sleeping over of course).

You can stay in
either the Caribbean themed Splash Landings Hotel or spend a night
at the traditional Alton Towers Hotel. You can visit the Cariba
Creek water park, tee off for a round of Extraordinary Golf or
indulge in some evening entertainment complete with party games
galore. Alternatively why not take a ride in the Winter Playground,
featuring rides such as the Driving School, Frog Hopper, Gallopers
Carouncel, Bouncing Bugs and, of course, the Dodgems.

2 adults sharing)
On the last day
of 2008 you can stay at either hotel and splash out for the day in
the water park, tee off at the Extraordinary Golf or take a ride in
the Winter Playground before heading back to the hotels in
the evening to Celebrate as a family with three party zones:
a Caribbean Beach Party in Cariba Creek, a Family Variety
Show or dance the night away with the hotels' Live Band.
