Fireworks were indeed back this year, albeit shortened to just three nights instead of the usual five, in compliance with a court noise reduction order
This event moved away from the ride storylines and
was instead themed around an electrical storm which takes place above the Towers themselves.
The plot lead to the building being blown up by lightning in front of thousands of spectators and was accomplished with the use of specialist lighting equipment which included lasers, spot lights and of course fireworks were used heavily.
There was also a large inflatable projection sphere at the heart of the display to immerse the viewer in brand new special effects. It has been appropriately dubbed the 'StratoSphere' by the manufacturer.
The three firework nights were held on 27,
28, and 29 October, all of which were very busy.
