The tree can actually be found in the woods of Alton Village and it has been there chained for hundreds of years. Some locals do actually believe in the curse and it has been around for years, so before you say anything it's not just something Alton Towers has made up in an attempt to make a good themed ride!

The first part of the ride, the walkthrough sections are real, genuine Towers. They have been there for years, before Hex the first walkthrough gallery was used as the Towers gift shop, but the second part, the octagon has lay empty for years.

Now, as you can see from these pictures taken during construction of the ride, the spinning room is actually in a separate building attached to the side of the Towers.

You don't actually go upside down, you only move moderately from side to side, it is actually the room which spins, this confuses both body and mind.
