THE SPLASH KARTS
HAVE NOW CLOSED, IN ORDER FOR THE PARK TO BEGIN PREPARATIONS FOR
AN EXCITING NEW AREA OF THE PARK IN 2008
In 2004 the park made the difficult decision to remove the iconic Swan
Boat Ride from it's lake in Merrie England after 17 years of service.
It was replaced by the Splash Kart Challenge, an attraction which was a
world away from the docile Swan Boat Ride, as it was more akin to
go-karts on water. The Karts operated in the lake alongside the
Courtyard Tavern and cost £3 for a two laps.
