Gloomy Wood was created in 1992, it’s located on the path that leads to Forbidden Valley. There’s
only one attraction in this woodland area, Duel - The Haunted
House Strikes Back. Originally the ride was just The Haunted House which was
similar but wasn’t interactive. In 2003 laser game
equipment was added to make this attraction more interactive.
Gloomy
Wood is a very unspoilt area of the park, there is much room for expansion,
and indeed in 2007 the area became home to one end of the
Haunted Hollow, a spooky shortcut from Merrie England.
