Old MacDonald's farm is situated just behind Towers Street and is an area aimed at younger children, they can drive a tractor on
Old MacDonald's Tractor Ride, look out for their favourite farm yard animal on the Riverbank Eye-Spy
boat ride
or even hop on the back one for a ride on the Doodle Doo
Derby. There is also the Berry Bish Bash, which opened in
2003 and is located in the old barn which used to house many
animals before the foot and mouth crisis in 2002.
Redevelopment in the area continued for the 2007 season with
the redevelopment of the Riverbank Eye-Spy to include 3D
animals and the introduction of a new playground, The Dung
Heap, constructed on two of the old animal paddocks.
This area started out as the
Britannia Building Society Farm in 1989 and later became the Safeway farm in 1992 until
finally it was changed to it's present day name of Old McDonalds Farm in 1995.
