This area first opened in 1986 and was called Kiddies Kingdom and included all sorts of play equipment and climbing frames. The area developed and changed over the years until in 1992 a big top was added which housed live shows including the famous Peter Rabbit and
Friends on ice! In 1996 the area was split in two and re-named Storybook Land and Adventure Land. Over the following years new play equipment and rides were added, including The Beastie and Gallopers Carousel. Then in 2003 construction started on a new rollercoaster, Spinball Whizzer!
Spinball Whizzer
is a custom designed spinning coaster which opened in 2004
and is themed around a pinball machine. The area has a
selection of music playing, ranging from the 1950's to the
1990's which helps create an exciting atmosphere along with
pinball sounds and effects. Adventure Land still includes
the Beastie rollercoaster plus the Space Adventures play equipment.
