THE DISCOVERY ROOM
175 of the Alton Towers Hotels’ bedrooms are themed Discovery rooms.
The Discovery room carries the theme of the entire hotel, which is based on Sir Algenon Alton’s travels. Every corner is packed with Sir Algenon’s personal memorabilia, from his unusual flying machine invention in the entrance hall to the time capsule musical lifts!
The Discovery bedrooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms and
each room sleeps up to 4 people. In all the Discovery Rooms you will find a double bed and either a single
divan bed with a pull out bed or bunk beds,
Room facilities include satellite TV, tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer, a room phone, and a spare plug socket for plugging your own devices into. You will also find certain pay per use services such as the internet, computer games and box office movies.
In the en-suite you will find a good sized bath with a shower fitment that has temperature regulated controls, some soaps, shampoo and shower gel.
The Discovery rooms are a fun but sophisticated lightly themed room, you will even find goody bags for the children. The only criticism I have, is the fact there is no mini bar or room service available.
